About Us
One of our top priorities is our commitment to the environment. It’s a
fact that all manufacturing processes have an impact on the environment.
The goal is to minimize that effect, and continue to find new and better
ways to improve even more. We have upgraded our technology and processes
regularly in order to be an environmentally friendly company.
Eco Conscious. To whiten our pulps, we do not use any processes
that produce dioxins. Our products are made primarily from cotton and
natural fibers; so we don’t create any of the dioxins and other byproducts
that typically result from wood pulping processes.
We use a gentle bleaching agents process – which is environmentally gentle,
with virtually no pollutants resulting from our production processes.
Recycled Materials. In truth, we can’t “label” our product as
recycled – at least not by the government’s standard, since they require
that materials be recycled from the consumer before earning the status
of “recycled.” Still, we do turn what would otherwise be waste and landfill
into a usable product.
Our basic raw material is cotton scrap – which we purchase primarily from
the textile and garment industries. This scrap is what’s trimmed off and
thrown away in the making of jeans, tee shirts, and other cotton products.
Without our involvement, these industries would send millions of pounds
of scrap to landfills every year. Instead, we purchase as much as we can
use, and turn it into a usable product for paper manufacturing.
Save the Trees – and the Planet. Because we use cotton and other
specialty fibers to create our pulps, we don’t cut down any trees. Not
one. This leaves more trees to clean our air and keep our planet healthy.
In addition, cotton fibers require fewer chemicals in the production process
than wood-based pulp does … plus, the resulting paper is more durable
and of higher quality.
Energy Efficient. Finally, our latest equipment upgrades not
only produce superior pulp quality … but also save on energy consumption
and reduce production waste.
